Hello Friends! Today, I'm sharing a mini slimline card using a couple of slimline stamp sets from Scrapbook.com.

For this card, I inked up the Thankful and Grateful stamp set in multiple colors. When you're stamping with different colors like this, it's helpful to use a stamping tool like a MISTI. That way, you can get even coverage for all of the colors that are being used. After stamping the image, I adhered the panel to my card base then used the nested hexagon dies to cut out a small piece of patterned paper. After that, I cut apart the thinking of you sentiment from the Slimline Floral stamp set and heat embossed it. I fussy cut the sentiment and adhered it on top of the hexagon with some silver twine peeking out underneath. I finished off the card with some silver pearls. I love how bright and cheerful this card turned out.

I hope enjoyed today's post and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! Today, I'm sharing the last of my Christmas cards. I don't usually make holiday thank you cards, but sometimes you receive something a bit unexpected and a card is definitely needed. That's what I had in mind when I made this card.

For this sweet card, I pulled out the Prancing Reindeer stencil from Scrapbook.com for my background. After I inked it up, I used a green alcohol marker and added some little dots all around the images. I trimmed down my panel and added it to my card front. I did a little die cutting using the Nested Decorative Circles and I fussy cut the Christmas sentiment from the Christmas Expressions stamp set.

I absolutely love how this card turned out! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Carol

Hello Friends! For all of you that celebrate Christmas, I hope you had a wonderful day of celebration with family and friends. Today, I'm sharing a layout showcasing my sweet family. Back in October, we took a quick weekend trip over to the west coast of Florida and stayed at a resort on the beach. It was relaxing and just what we needed at the time.

I love when we take weekend trips like this because it breaks up the every day routine and gets us out of the house for a change! For this layout I used family pocket cardsMemories stamp set and the floral borders die from Scrapbook.com. I did a little ink blending on the floral die to add color and dimension.
The ephemera is from the Some Days collection from Pink Fresh Studio.

I think this layout turned out really sweet. I hope you enjoyed it too! Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! I hope you're having a great weekend. How is your holiday shopping going? I think I'm almost done (famous last words - LOL!). Today, I have my last card to share as a Guest Designer for Spellbinders. For this card I used the beautiful Embroidery Flowers stamp set.

I don't know about you, but I love solid stamp images! I'm not the best at coloring (although I'm working on it) so it's refreshing to use solid stamps for change. I decided to add color by cutting some strips of card stock and adding a rainbow of paint splatters to the background. After adhering my strips, I simply stamped that beautiful floral image to the center using black ink. I added that sweet Just a Note sentiment to the bottom. I am in LOVE with that font by the way!

This mini slimline card came together pretty quickly and I am so happy with how it turned out! Thank you so much for stopping by today and I wish you and your family a Happy, Healthy and Safe Holiday Season!

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! Like the title of the post says, each day really is a new start. Sometimes I think we need to hear that in order to believe it. I know that the holidays bring about many emotions from joy to sorrow and it's good to know that each day will be better than the last. I think we always need to be encouraged with hope and love and I believe this cards accomplishes just that.

This is my second project guest designing for Spellbinders for their Cardmaker II release. I used the New Start stamp set for those beautiful butterflies as well as the sentiment. I stamped each butterfly and colored them Copic markers and then fussy cut them out. I heat embossed that lovely, encouraging sentiment and then cut it out using one of the dies from the Build a Banner hot foil kit.

I just love how this card turned out! I think it would surely put a smile on someone's face especially if they may going through a difficult time. I hope you enjoyed today's card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Carol

Hello Friends! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! I don't know about you, but things have surely been busy in my neck of the woods! I'm popping in today to share a sweet holly jolly village card using some great supplies from Scrapbook.com.

I used the Winter Cottage two step stencil to add some color to my little village. I thought a few rainbow colors would liven this card right up! I cut out my panel using the A2 Rectangle Nested Dies. This die set is a must have for your craft stash! It's something you'll turn to again and again. After adhering my panel, I pulled out some vellum and used the Nested Trees die to create a sweet tree. I then heat embossed the Holly Jolly sentiment using the Merry Little Christmas stamp set. Lastly, I added some twine and few little silver beads to finish off this card.

I think this card is festive and fun! I hope you like it too! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Carol

Hello Friends! I hope that all of my US friends have recovered from Thanksgiving! I don't know about you, but I ate WAY too much!! But hey, that's part of the holidays, right? It was so nice to get together with our family this year and it just made my heart so happy to be around everyone again. God is so Good!

So, today I'm sharing a layout about a fave in the Weatherspoon house, PIZZA! We all love it so much!! We love making pizza, getting pizza delivered and of course ordering pizza at a restaurant. This particular pizza was from one of all-time favorite spots, UNO's in Orlando!! YUM!!

For this 9x12 layout, I decided to pull out some patterned paper. I used the Some Days collection from Pink Fresh studio. I just love the graphics on this paper!! I also used some fantastic dies from Scrapbook.com, the Nested Hexagons and Bold Basics alpha die. I die cut the alpha's using the Playful paper pack and the colors just worked perfectly with the patterned paper.

To finish off this layout, I used the cutest embellishments from the Cute and Crafty collection from Doodlebug Design. Those sweet little smiley faces just fit in perfectly with this spread. Oh, one thing that I definitely wanted to mention is about the photos. I was listening to an episode of the Life Handmade podcast from Scrapbook.com (episode 30 to be exact) and they were speaking to Chari Pack the founder of Persnickety Prints and just had to try their prints. And, I LOVE THEM!!! They offer a variety of sizes and they actually do what they call Press Prints where the photos are printed onto beautiful card stock. I only did a few of those because I wasn't sure if would I like it, but honestly, I don't think I want to print on regular photo paper again, LOL! I highly recommend them!

Well, that's it for me today. I sure hope you liked today's layout. Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Carol

Hello Friends! I'm guest designing for Spellbinders (somebody, please pinch me)!! I'm super excited to share a couple of super cute stamp sets from the Cardmaker II Stamp Collection.

I used two stamp sets from this collection, Simple Sentiments and New Start for this card. I absolutely love the fonts used in Simple Sentiments stamp set, they are so fun and fresh. Since I was making an encouragement card, I thought the butterfly would fit in perfectly. So, I heat embossed the image with silver embossing powder and then just ink blended the wings and "sky." This card just makes me smile! I sure hope you like it too!

Head on over to the Spellbinders site to take a look at all the stamps released in this collection. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hello Friends! I know it's been a little quiet around here lately. Well, my birthday was last weekend and I had a BUSY weekend! My hubby and cutie pie daughter took me out to a terrific dinner (nothing like surf and turf), then on Saturday I was hanging out with 700+ crafty friends at the Pink Fresh Studio Create and Connect event. It was SO fun and the products...AWESOME. I will be using the stamps, dies and stencils over and over again!! Then, my day job was extremely busy this past week so I'm finally getting a little crafty time in, thank goodness!

So, today I'm sharing a super fun scrapbook page. A few weeks ago I picked Paige up from aftercare and when I walked into to the outdoor classroom, I found her reading to some younger kiddos. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen! I had to sneak up on her so I could get this picture before she realized I was there.

Paige absolutely loves to read and it just warmed my heart to see her sharing the joy of reading. For this layout, I used 6 different dies from Scrapbook.com. If you haven't visited their site lately, they have a lot of great dies available right now! I used the following dies for this card: Sprigs , Typewriter Alpha
Uptown Alpha , Nested Pockets , Nested Decorative Circles and the  Nested A2 Rectangles.

I had so much fun creating this layout. I hope you enjoyed it as well. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Carol

Hello Friends! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I don't know about you, but I'm getting a little nervous that Christmas is literally right around the corner! I'm starting to up my Christmas card stash and I'm so glad that Scrapbook.com has a lot of new holiday stamps to choose from!

For this fun and festive card I used Merry Little Christmas and the Slimline Christmas Foliage stamp sets. I heat embossed that lovely background image with white embossing powder and then I ink blended with a couple of different shades of green ink. I also fussy cut a "snow drift" to add to the bottom of the card. I added the Season's Greetings sentiment to white card stock then die cut it out using Waffle Flowers Stitched Circles die. To finish off the card I used something I haven't used in a long time, RIBBON! I tied a cute bow with some gingham ribbon from my stash and added it to the top of the circle, which to me makes it look like a cute ornament!

I hope you liked today's card, and I also hope your getting started with your holiday projects! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Friends! I'm back today with yet another scrapbook layout! I'm really starting to enjoy the process of scrapbooking and I am loving getting pictures off of my phone, printed and into an album!

A few months ago, Paige and I went to Butterfly World. It's a local aviary that has the most beautiful butterflies and flowers and birds! When we walked in we were just mesmerized!! I snapped quite a few pictures of our experience and I had to do a scrapbook page! I used a lovely stamp set from Scrapbook.com called Slimline Floral which I added as a background to that lovely patterned paper from Pink Fresh Studio called Happy Blooms. I also used a really cute stamp set called Sweet Expressions for those inked works in the background. I really love how this turned out!!

I hope you liked today's post and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Friends! I made another scrapbook page and I have to say that this little girl just makes my heart smile!

Isn't she a doll?! I wanted this page to be bold and bright so I picked some of my favorite patterned paper from Paige Taylor Evans, it's called Go the Scenic Route. I also used pocket cards by Scrapbook.com called Memorial, I just loved that phrase I love you more than the stars in the sky. I also added a few stickers and some gold stars that I cut out using my Silhouette Cameo. Easy peasy!!

I hope you enjoyed today's post! Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from three different companies!

I had a glimmer fest a couple of weeks ago where I used the Deco Triangles hot foil plate from The Greetery to hot foil a bunch of card panels. I absolutely love that design! I also used the etched laurel leaves die from Simon Says Stamp and finished it off with a scripty hello die from Taylored Expressions. I added a few sequins just because you can never have too much bling, right?! This card came together fairly quickly and it just makes me smile.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! Are you getting ready for Halloween? Well, I'll be honest, I'm not a big Halloween person, but Paige loves to get dressed up and that makes it fun for me! I made these sweet Trick or Treat cards to send to a couple of family members to put a smile on their faces.

I used a great stamp and stencil from Scrapbook.com to create both of these cards. These were kind of a twofer because I used that great polaroid frame die to get two cards. I heat embossed the Spider Web slimline stamp with gold embossing powder, I then ink blended the background using pink ink and cut out the design with the polaroid frame. I also heat embossed the Trick or Treat sentiment onto black card stock for the first card and I changed it up a little bit and ink blended the bats stencil for the second card. For the sentiment, I used one of my all-time favorite alpha dies, Uptown also from Scrapbook.com. To finish off both cards, I added some metallic pearls

I'm totally loving using non-traditional colors for my Fall/Halloween cards. I think it brings a fun, fresh look!

I hope you liked today's cards, thank you so much for stopping by!

Carol

Hello Friends! I'm so excited to share a couple of cool fall stencils with you today. Both stencils are from Scrapbook.com.

I first ink blended that cute jack o' lantern stencil in the background and then dry embossed the oak leaves stencil on top. I also used a stamp/die from Spellbinders called Fall Greetings and Happy Harvest. I die cut the pumpkins and the scalloped rectangle using rainbow glitter paper which I absolutely LOVE!! This card just makes me feel all festive inside especially when it's still super sunny and in the 80's down here!

I hope you enjoyed today's card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from four different companies!

I pulled out my Glimmer Hot Foil System again and I had a blast!! I hot foiled that sweet Happy Birthday sentiment and I fussy cut it out. For that beautiful background I used some patterned paper from Vicki Boutin's Color Study collection along with a diagonal stripes die from Lawn Fawn. I just love those bright vibrant colors! To finish off this card I pulled out some ephemera from the Pink Fresh Studio Happy Blooms collection.

I sent this card to my bestie for her birthday, and she loved it! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! Are you getting excited for the holiday season? Halloween is right around the corner! I'll be honest, I really don't go all out for Halloween, but this cute bat stencil from Scrapbook.com just gave me all the feels to make a Halloween card!

I am just loving the pink for this card! Who said Halloween had to be all about dark colors like purple and black?! This just makes my pink loving heart go pitter pat! And, how about that alpha die! It's called Uptown alpha and I love it!! These letters are so trendy and would look really great on a scrapbook layout as well. I finished off this card with a few Pops of Color, some beautiful glitter paper and some ink splatter. Trick or Treat!!

I hope you enjoyed today's card, thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from four different companies!

If you've been following me for a while, you know that I LOVE teachers! We have been so blessed to have fabulous teachers for Paige from pre-school to until now. She's in the second grade and her teacher is just lovely! About a year ago I was reading a post from Jennifer McGuire and if you follow her you know she does A LOT for teachers! I decided in my own little way, I wanted to thank more than just Paige's classroom teacher, so I made thank you cards for all of the 1st grade teachers and a few staff members. They absolutely loved it and it made me feel so good to put a smile on someone's face (many of whom I had never met). Fast forward to this year and I'm doing the same thing. I'm making this sweet card for all of the 2nd grade teachers, the Principal, Assistant Principal and the school nurse. Shout out to school nurses! They really are going through a lot with all of the COVID protocols and I commend them so very much!

Let's talk about the card, shall we? I used the Apple stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps for that awesome multi-step apple. It looks so realistic! This was my first purchase from Kitchen Sink but it will certainly not be my last. I don't know about you, but I always have trouble lining up layering stamp sets. Not the case with this one, all of the images line up perfectly! So, I don't have a bunch of red inks, so I used a soft pink, light red, mid red, dark red and a light brown for the last stamp. LOVE!! I also pulled out the Teacher Thank You stamp set from Simon Says Stamp for the sentiment as well as a stencil from Echo Park. To finish off the card I cut the image using a great die from Pink Fresh called diagonal stitched rectangles. I know I say this all the time, but I love how this card turned out! And I truly hope the teachers enjoy it as well!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great start to your week!

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We most certainly did! We went to the home opener for the Miami Dolphins (they did TERRIBLE) but we still had a good time and ran a few much needed errands. All in all, it was a great weekend!

So, today I'm sharing a festive Christmas card! All products used are from Scrapbook.com.

I absolutely love that snowflake die it reminds me of winter's in Ohio! I've been in Florida for so long I almost forget what winter looks like! LOL! For this card I also used the new acetate sheets to create my own stencil. I just used a hole punch to punch some holes and then used texture paste to get that look of snow falling behind the snowflake. I also used the 4 inch mint tape to cut out a mask using the slimline rounded rectangle die to ink blend my background. To finish off this card, I added some stickers as well as a Merry Christmas sentiment from the Labelmaker stamp set from Waffle Flower. I really love how this slimline card turned out!

So, you know there are less than 100 days until Christmas, right? Have you started on your holiday cards yet? Well, I hope that this little bit of inspiration gives you some ideas so you can get started on your cards as well. And, I'll be honest, I've only made 2 cards so far, so I have a heck of a long way to go! LOL! One day and one card at a time, right?!

I hope you liked today's card and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from four different companies!

This card is giving me all kinds of Autumn feels! That hot foil plate? It's awesome, right?! It's from The Greetery and I love it so much! I used the hot foil plate for my background and since there's already a lot going on, I just added some vellum leaves, my sentiment and that cute pumpkin. My sweet friend, Nichol Spohr designed several stamp and die sets for Spellbinders, and this pumpkin is included in one of the sets! It's so realistic looking, LOVE!! I added a few sequins to finish off this card and I really like how it turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I appreciate you so much!
