Hello Friends! I'm finishing up Christmas in July with a cute little slimline card with a little surprise inside. I used new products from Scrapbook.com to complete this fun interactive card.

So, this card looks pretty simple with the beautiful Peppermint patterned paper being the star of the show. But, what you can't really tell is the patterned paper is actually a pocket! And, when you pull up on that sweet glittered snowflake, look what you get...

How fun is that!! I added a photo strip inside the pocket to hopefully bring a smile to the face of the recipient. I love how this turned out!!

This card didn't take long at all and could definitely be mass produced. I hope you enjoyed today's card! Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs,

Carol

Hello Friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Recently, I was going through some photos and came across a few that put a big smile on my face!

Paige is definitely a foodie and she absolutely LOVES dessert! I have to say, like mother like daughter! LOL! This layout came together pretty quickly because I knew I wanted to use some Pops of Color as well as Distress Oxide Spray. So, I squeezed a few dots of my Pops of Color and used my scraper tool to move the color down the center of my layout.

Next, I got to spraying! This was my first time using Distress Oxide Spray and I love it! Such beautiful color and it gives such a fun look to your layout. After that dried, I adhered my photos and then I grabbed the beautiful Butterflies 1 die set and die cut a few using Rainbow patterned paper pad.

I added my butterflies throughout my layout and it really just makes this page pop! And, the intricate detail of the dies is absolutely beautiful! I hope you enjoyed today's layout because I certainly had fun making it!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Carol

Hello Friends! I'm back with another installment of Christmas in July. This time, I'm using new products from Scrapbook.com. I think this may be the first year where I actually completed Christmas projects in July and I think I like it!

For this card, I started with the Nested Stockings die using the third largest die from the set to cut out some beautiful patterned paper. For the top of the stocking, I used red card stock and then adhered a silver glitter snowflake die-cut to the center.

Next, I ink blended some white card stock and adhered another sheet of patterned paper from the Peppermint paper pad to the bottom. I added a strip of silver glitter card stock above the patterned paper then I got a feel of the placement for my stocking. Without adhering the stocking, I laid out my sentiment from the Celebrate Expressions stamp set, removed the stocking, then picked up the sentiment with the lid of my Misti. Once that was complete, I added my stocking with foam adhesive and adhered my panel to an A2 card base.

I love how festive this card turned out and it's really getting me into the Christmas in July spirit! Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Hello Friends! The weekend is upon us and I am so ready for it! I'm excited because we'll be going to my hubby's Family Reunion and I plan to sneak in some crafting over the weekend as well. 😉

Today, I'm Kicking it Old School because I made a matchbook card! I haven't made one of these in YEARS!!!

This card is so easy to make and fun! So, you start off by using a piece of card stock that measures 4 1/4 x 11. You score at the 1 inch and 6 1/4 inch marks. Fold at your score lines and you'll see that the one inch flap will be the piece that holds your top flap closed. I just used one staple to close the bottom flap.

I used a strip of Peppermint patterned paper from Scrapbook.com that measured 3/4 by 4. Next, I cut another piece of card stock that measured 4 x4 and did a little stencil action with the Party layered stencil. I then added my BOLD sentiment from the Happy Birthday stamp set and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Isn't it looking festive!

Then it was time for the inside. So, instead of just adding a sentiment, I decided to be a little "extra" and did some soft ink blending and I added a stamped image from the Party Animal stamp set.

Once I closed the card, I decided that I needed just a little something so I added a few enamel dots to
finish off the card.

Kicking it Old School was fun, what older ideas do you have up your sleeve to work with? Tag me on the "Gram" and let me know!! Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Hello Friends! Don't you love Christmas in July! I know I do and it's even better when you're creating with new products from Spellbinders!

I used the beautiful Blooming Tree hot foil plate and die combo, isn't it beautiful! Along with that, I used the Essential Arches dies and for the card shown below, I also used the Solid Arch hot foil plate. I also pulled out one of my favorite hot foil plates, Diagonal Glimmer Stripes for my background.

To finish this card off, I added a holiday sentiment using the Gifts of Christmas sentiment hot foil plate. I cannot wait to send these out to some special people in my life for Christmas.

All of the new products are available right now over on the Spellbinders site. It's never to early to get a jump start on Christmas!

I hope you enjoyed today's post and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Friends! So, today I challenged myself to do two things: 1) Only use one stamp set and 2) The stamp that I used had to be small. I thought that would be a fun challenge and I'll let you decide how I did.

I decided to use the Flair Greetings stamp set from Ink Blot Shop. It's a small stamp set as you can see here and I decided to just stamp multiple circles or they could be balloons, whatever your crafty heart desires. I also went with a color palette I rarely ever use because you know I'm all about pink! LOL! But, this was so fun because after I stamped, I stamped three more on a separate sheet of card stock and used a circle die from my stash to cut them out.

Next, I stamped those sweet sentiments and then adhered them to the card with foam tape. To finish it off, you know I had to bring out my sequins! So, I added a few here and there then adhered it with some fun foam to my card base. I just think this card turned out so cute! I hope you like it as well.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hello Friends! I hope you all are doing well! I don't know about you, but it's been a busy summer so far! My mom came down for a visit from Ohio and that was SO much fun! Then, last week we went to my hubby's family reunion on his mom's side and this weekend we have his family reunion on his dad's side. Fun Stuff!!

Today, I'm sharing a new insert into my Memorydex. I am absolutely loving the fact that this is the way I'm displaying all of Paige's school photos. It's so fun to flip through the years and see how much she's grown!

For this insert, I used the awesome Rainbow paper pad from Scrapbook.com. I love the bright cheery colors! Next, I pulled out some great dies, also from Scrapbook.com. I used SprigsInspire Words, and a new die set called Butterflies 2
After I cut out my patterned paper using the Memorydex die, I did a little stamping using a confetti stamp from the Party Animal stamp set. Then, I added my photo and strategically placed my sprigs and butterflies. Then I die cut the word Sweet two times using white and pink card stock and off-set them to give a little extra pizazz to the insert. Lastly, I added a few silver Pops of Color to my butterfly bodies and a few dew drops from my stash.

I had so much fun putting this together! Paige is super photogenic but this is one of my favorites!! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Carol
