Hello Friends! The weekend is upon us and I am so ready for it! I'm excited because we'll be going to my hubby's Family Reunion and I plan to sneak in some crafting over the weekend as well. 😉
Today, I'm Kicking it Old School because I made a matchbook card! I haven't made one of these in YEARS!!!
This card is so easy to make and fun! So, you start off by using a piece of card stock that measures 4 1/4 x 11. You score at the 1 inch and 6 1/4 inch marks. Fold at your score lines and you'll see that the one inch flap will be the piece that holds your top flap closed. I just used one staple to close the bottom flap.
I used a strip of Peppermint patterned paper from Scrapbook.com that measured 3/4 by 4. Next, I cut another piece of card stock that measured 4 x4 and did a little stencil action with the Party layered stencil. I then added my BOLD sentiment from the Happy Birthday stamp set and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Isn't it looking festive!
Then it was time for the inside. So, instead of just adding a sentiment, I decided to be a little "extra" and did some soft ink blending and I added a stamped image from the Party Animal stamp set.
Once I closed the card, I decided that I needed just a little something so I added a few enamel dots to
finish off the card. Hugs,
Carol
