Hello Friends! Is it  super HOT where you are? Oh my goodness, it's so HOT and HUMID in south Florida right now! As soon as I step outside, I instantly start to sweat...not a good look. LOL! Today, I have a fun summertime card using a gorgeous stamp set from Scrapbook.com.

So, I don't do single layer cards very often, but the images in this set are so big and bold, I just had to do it! I used the Hello Summer stamp set and I started off by stamping that large sun. I used a couple of different colors of ink to get that ombre look and I think it looks fantastic!

Next, I stamped a couple of birds over to the right of the sun and then I stamped my flamingo. I used some alcohol markers to color the image and then I fussy cut it out. Next, I stamped my sentiment and then added a little splatter using distress oxide spray. Lastly, I adhered my flamingo.

I love how this turned out! Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Hugs,

Carol

HAPPINESS CRAFTED

Hello Friends! I hope that all of my friends here in the US had a wonderful 4th of July holiday! Mine was great, although it was extremely HOT!!! But, that didn't stop us from enjoying good food and having a great time with our family! So, today, I'm sharing a card for Dad.

Okay, I know what you're thinking, flowers for dad? YES, flowers for dad, men like flowers too! LOL! I used a few products from Scrapbook.com. First, I started off by die cutting a slimline stitched panel for my card front. Then, I used the Outline Letters stamp set to stamp the word DAD in the center of my panel.

Next, I heat embossed that beautiful floral image from the Rose Blossoms stamp set. I absolutely love how this looks! The "A" is just peeking out from the behind that gorgeous bloom. To complete the card I used a rub-on to add my sub-sentiment and a few sequins finished off this card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hugs,

HAPPINESS CRAFTED

Hello Friends! I have a fun scrapbook layout to share with you today. So, my daughter had a play date with her friend and where did they decide to meet? The library! Did you know that the library is the place to be?! I had no clue! LOL!

So, I started by stamping my large title using the Bold Letters stamp set from Scrapbook.com and of course I had to stamp it in rainbow order. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with how nicely the letters stamped. Many times when you have solid stamps the image may not be as crisp, but I was super happy with my results.

Next, I smeared a few ink cubes on my craft surface, added water and then took a sheet of acetate and picked up the color and smooshed it onto my card stock. This is my amateur version of Mixed Media!

Next I added my photos. I used patterned paper from the Berry Sweet paper pad and added my first photo on top. But, I decided that wasn't cool enough, so I added a score line on the left side so I could create a hinge and hide another photo inside.

I added a few stickers from the My Story collection to finish the inside. Next, I added my photo of the cute bookworms on the bottom of the page. And to complete the layout, I die cut a few florals from the Sunny Lane collection.

I absolutely LOVE how this turned out!! Are you capturing your summer memories? I am trying my best to document as much as I can this summer because my little one ain't so little anymore and I just want to soak up every moment!

Hugs,

Carol

HAPPINESS CRAFTED

Hello Friends! I've been having so much fun playing with new goodies from Scrapbook.com. Today, I'm sharing a card using an autumn themed stamp set called Cozy Autumn.

Isn't that bear cute?! I stamped and colored the image with alcohol markers then fussy cut it out. Next, I used the new Magical patterned paper pad and cut a few designs and adhered them to my card front.

After I die cut the circle I added my bear image on top and added a clay heart for a little embellishment. Lastly, I heat embossed the HUGS sentiment and added that to the bottom of my card. I love the color combination for this card and it just screams HUGS!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
