Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from four different companies! I have to be honest...I love this card!!

I must admit, I don't make slimline cards very often, but man do I love them! The size is great and gives just a little more room than a typical A2 sized card. I started by doing a little ink blending with a slimline stencil then I added a couple of strips of card stock along with one strip of patterned paper on the bottom. I stamped that beautiful bold sentiment, stamped, colored and fussy cut a couple of flowers to add a little somethin' somethin'. Did  mention that I love this card?!

Oh! I even made my own coordinating envelope! I used a great mini slimline envelope die to cut my envelope from beautiful pattered paper. I {heart} that die!

The supplies for this card are listed below:

Cable Knit stencil - Taylored Expressions
Quick Strips die - The Stamp Market
A Simple Hello stamp set - The Stamp Market
Flowers for Picking stamp set - Picket Fence Studios (sold out)
Some Days paper pack - Pink Fresh Studio
Slimline envelope die - Pink Fresh Studio

I hope you enjoyed today's card! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! Today' I'm sharing a sweet card I made with the Recuerdos stamp set from Scrapbook.com. Remember that awesome storage pocket I shared last week? It's the one I was using to store my work in progress.

Well that pocket, turned into this card!

I ended up changing out my inks as I decided to go with dye ink instead of distress oxides. But, the concept works great because it gives you a great starting point for your project. I really love how this card turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed today's project.

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! I don't even know what's going on around here, but I am really getting into scrapbooking! I think because I have such cute and sweet subjects it makes it easy to whip up a layout! Today, I'm going beach theme all the way! The Sizzling Days of Summer of still happening over at Scrapbook.com so I wanted to make a summer-time project. Also, don't forget, you can still snag the freebie of the day.

We recently traveled a little north of us and stayed at a great beach resort. The resort is actually owned by Gloria Estafan and it was beautiful! We could literally hear the waves crashing from our room! Amazing! Well, of course we had to hit the beach while we were there! These two cuties went walking along the beach looking for seashells, and of course Miss Paige had to pose for a picture! She is so funny!

For this layout, I used some great beach themed pocket cards from Scrapbook.com along with their wave stencil for my background. I really love how this turned out. Okay, so get ready for more layouts because I'm totally rekindling my love of memory keeping!

I hope you liked today's post! Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hello Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! I know that the temperatures are out of control in many parts of the country. If you're in those areas, I hope you're staying cool. It's hot and humid down here in Florida (as per usual) and the A/C is going non-stop...ahhh the joys of summer! LOL!

Today, I'm popping in to share some great Slimline Storage Envelopes from Scrapbook.com. These envelopes are just like the other size I've shared, super sturdy and cute!

As you can see, I decided to store my slimline dies in these envelopes. It works out great because you can fit several into one envelope. As I mentioned before, the envelopes are really sturdy so don't have to worry about your dies busting out of the envelope! I'm really digging all of the storage options over at Scrapbook.com it's helping me organize BIG TIME! Even my 7 year old told me "wow mommy, this looks so much better!" You know, much better than on the floor, or all over my desk (or all over her desk for that matter - LOL!).

I hope you enjoyed today's post! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Carol

Hello Friends! How do you store the projects you're working on? Do you store them or are you like me and just have products randomly on your desk or on the floor?? Well, I have found a great solution for all of your works in progress. Storage Envelopes from Scrapbook.com! They have envelopes in various sizes but I like the letter size for my unfinished or need to start projects.

Isn't this a great solution! The envelope is large and extremely sturdy! This would also be a handy idea for crafting on the go. Do your kiddos play sports or participate in other extracurricular activities? You could load up your supplies, head to the field or the gym and craft your little heart out while you wait for practice to end. You would have everything you need at your fingertips and once you're done, pack it back up, stick it in your bag and head back home. I'm really getting into this organizational thing, it really does help! Little by little I'm getting myself to a place where I actually know where all of my stuff is, it's very refreshing!

As a side note I wanted to mention that as the school year is finally coming to an end (our schools are done on Friday) I will be moving my "home office" from the kitchen table to my craft room. I was at the kitchen table because our daughter did virtual learning this year and we have a built-in desk in our kitchen which was the perfect place for her. I knew I wanted to be close so I could keep an eye on her and keep her on task so I set myself up right next to her at our kitchen table. My kitchen table is literally a hot mess! I have my work papers all over the place, Paige's school books and school work...oh how I cannot wait until Friday! Anyway, I'm getting a new desk and bookshelf in my craft room so I can comfortably work from home while Paige is in summer camp. Also, now that my hubby is retired, he won't feel like he has to walk on egg shells all day trying to keep quiet while I'm at work and Paige is at school. I'm super excited because I think it will be good for the whole family and who doesn't like getting new furniture! LOL! I'll be sure to post pics once I'm all set up!

Well, I hope you enjoyed today's post and please take a look at the storage envelopes because they can be used for some many things. I think they would be a welcome friend in your crafty space! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from three different companies! I needed a quick birthday card so instead of copic coloring or water coloring, I opted for no coloring! That's right up my alley because I still struggle with coloring and no-coloring cards are my friend! LOL!

For this quick and easy card, I decided to make a mini slimline. I die cut a bunch of strips of card stock (the strips varied between 1/4" and 1/2"). I set those to the side then stamped that beautiful flower image onto some white card stock. I adhered my strips onto the card and then stamped my image again (I never moved my stamp from my Misti in order to stamp in the exact same position). I stamped my greeting onto a couple of the strips, added some enamel dots and this card was done!

I used the following products for this card:

I Admire You stamp set - Gina K Designs
Quick Strips die - The Stamp Market
Quick Strips die 1/2" - The Stamp Market
Enamel Dots - The Stamp Market

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Friends! Are you as shocked by that title as I am?! Well, you know I've been dabbling in pocket scrapbooking (which I love) but I've been watching a lot of Vicki Boutin on Friday nights with her FB Lives and she inspires me SO MUCH! I finally said, "just do it Carol and stop being afraid!" So, here it is!!

When I snapped this photo of Paige, I knew I had to make a scrapbook layout!! I mean the look on her face is just priceless! She was so excited when that delicious sundae was placed in front of her all she could do was this! LOL!

I used a lot of Scrapbook.com exclusive products for this page and I've listed them below for your reference. So, if you've ever watched a Vicki Boutin video, you know that she loves COLOR! And one of her go-to techniques is the KISS technique where you add some ink onto a piece of plastic, spritz it with water then slap it right onto your paper. That's what I did for my background. I think it's sweet, subtle and not bad for my first try! In all honesty, I didn't need to do too much because this picture is definitely the star of the show!! I added a little stamping, ephemera, die cutting and of course a little journaling and this layout was done! The size is 9x12 and I'll add it to my 9x12 Three Ring Binder. I'm really happy with how this turned out!

Products Used:

Dotted Stencil - Scrapbook.com
Spring Sprigs stamp set - Scrapbook.com
All Heart stamp set - Scrapbook.com
Classic Alpha die - Scrapbook.com
Some Days ephemera pack - Pink Fresh Studio

I'm so glad you stopped by today, I hope you enjoyed today's post!

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from five different companies! The rainbow die that I used is one of my favorites because it's tall and skinny and it takes up a fair amount of room on a standard A2 sized card.

I started this card by using the cloud stencil and then added that great text background on top. I die cut  all of the colors of my rainbow (twice) and stacked the "bows" on top of each other to add a little dimension. Although I stenciled clouds, I still felt like I needed a cloud at the bottom of my card to ground the rainbow. I added a few sparkly jewels and this card was complete! All of the products I used are listed below:

Jumbo Skinny Rainbow die - Erin Lee Creative
Just add Color stamp set - Gina K Designs
Cloudy Sky die - Hero Arts

I hope you enjoyed today's Mix it up Monday! I wish you all a very happy start to the week! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Friends! Well, we know this is not a typical post for me because I am FAR from being organized! However, I wanted to pop in to share a couple of new storage items from Scrapbook.com.

With these new storage items you get a Tall Sticker Holder which I used for my dies and patterned paper. There's also a new 6x8 Paper Pad Holder which I used for my Smooth Card Stock. These are great storage ideas and helps get supplies off the floor or drawer or shelf and into something functional and stylish! I absolutely love these products! If you're like me and are in desperate need to organize your space, this is really a great place to start.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Carol
