Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from four different companies. I am absolutely in love with this butterfly from Pink Fresh Studio and I knew right away that I wanted to use it for my Mix it up Monday series!

Isn't that butterfly beautiful! And, the the best part? No coloring, it's all ink blending with stencils...Brilliant! I used a rainbow of inks to stencil the butterfly and I pulled out my Glimmer Hot Foil machine again! So, you know I've struggled with hot foiling, right? Well, I recently watched a great video from Yana Smakula where she talked about the best card stock to use for hot foiling. Immediately a light bulb went off, it's my card stock! I've been using Neenah 80# card stock because that's what I have on hand but during the video she spoke about heavier weight and smoother card stock to get the best results. Enter Brutus Monroe and their Not Your Mama's Card Stock. It's 130# super smooth and it WORKS!!! I had just a touch of over-foiling but this is by far the best results I've gotten with my hot foil machine. I will definitely be using it more often!

All products used for this card are listed below:

Glimmer Hot Foil System - Spellbinders
Say Hello hot foil plate/die - The Stamp Market
Butterflies stamp set - Pink Fresh Studio
Butterflies die - Pink Fresh Studio
Butterflies layering stencil - Pink Fresh Studio
Sentiment Strips - Simon Says Stamp

I hope you enjoyed today's card! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Also, for all of my friends in the US I hope on this Memorial Day that you are able to take some time to reflect and thank all of our fallen hero's.

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from three different companies. I have to be honest (and I know I say this all the time) I love this card!! I've really been loving alcohol inks lately and I'm just amazed at how beautiful the colors mix together. Why did I wait so long to give it a try??

Do you love it??!! I sure do! So, I made this card for one of my very good friends. She'll be celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary and she asked me to make a card for her hubby. I was so happy to make this card for her and I knew right away that I wanted to use alcohol inks. Since it's for her hubby, I decided to use darker shades of blue and purple with a little hint of green. Also, since they're celebrating 25 years I incorporated a little silver to acknowledge their Silver Anniversary. I am just over the moon with how this card turned out!

All products used are listed below:

Alcohol Ink - Tim Holtz/Ranger
Alcohol Lift Ink - Tim Holtz/Ranger
Air Blower - Tim Holtz/Ranger
A Little Love Stencil Bundle (love die) - Gina K
Old Letter background stamp - Simon Says Stamp

I really hope you enjoyed today's post, thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from four different companies. You all know that I've been on a book kick lately and this card it right up my book loving alley!

Isn't she the cutest little bookworm you've ever seen! She totally reminds me of my daughter because she absolutely loves to read and always has her little nose in a book! Love it! I used clear embossing powder for the background then added the stacked books and that sweet little girl. I colored both images with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Of course I had to add an actual worm to this card! Lastly, I pulled out my Glimmer Hot Foil System to foil that beautiful Hello and added it to the top of the card.

All products used are listed below:

Bookworm Messages - Hero Arts
You Are background stamp - Simon Says Stamp
Say Hello hot foil plate - The Stamp Market

Do you like how this card turned out? I sure hope you do! Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card features products from three different companies. I have to be honest, I love this card!! I love the colors and the floral image I used, is one of my all-time favorites!

This card was fairly easy to put together. I used some BEAUTIFUL patterned paper from Vicki Boutin called Color Study for that gorgeous background. I added a little white paint splatter to add a little interest. I absolutely love the color palette and design of this paper pad. You'll be seeing more of it soon! Then, I stamped and die cut that lovely floral cluster from the Modern Layered Floral set from Pink Fresh Studio. Last but certainly not least, I used a sentiment from Clean Lines Everyday stamp/die combo from Simon Says Stamp.

Are you loving this card? If so, let me know!! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Friends! And Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's as well as aunties and friends that have kiddos in their lives! I wish you all a wonderful day!

So, today I'm sharing my sweet daughter. I mean, it's only proper since it's Mother's Day, right? We recently received her Spring pictures from school, and WOW school pics have come a LONG way!! The pictures turned out amazing! And, with a new school pic, comes a new addition to my beautiful Blush Memory Dex from Heidi Swapp. I just love it and not just because it's pink! LOL! It's really a great way to showcase photos, quotes or affirmations on your desk top.

Isn't she a doll?! I used some distress ink along with the dotted stencil and texture paste for the background of my memory dex. I also used some circle dies to cut out some pocket cards. I think the addition of the pocket cards really look super cute! So, this is the photo that I get to look at while I'm crafting and it just brings the BIGGEST smile to my face! I'm so blessed to be this little girl's mom!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Friends! I hope you're having a nice weekend and if you're a mom, I hope that your Mother's Day weekend has been amazing thus far! I told my hubby and cutie pie daughter that I only wanted to craft and have breakfast delivered on Sunday. That's it, easy peasy! I'm not hard to please! LOL!

Today, I'm sharing a sweet pocket scrapbook page of my Honor Roll Student! We are so proud of this little girl! She's been distance learning all year and she made the honor roll for the second straight grading period! I can only imagine how tough it must be for a 7 year old to learn online every day! She's been such a trooper and never complains, I can't boast about her enough!! So, of course I had to scrapbook the occasion!

I used a page protector from Scrapbook.com along with the most awesome pocket cards called Elementary. They are perfect for this phase of our lives and the images are perfect! I also used Bold Basics alpha dies to add the word Honor Roll. I absolutely love how this layout turned out!

So, I've been watching a lot of scrapbooking videos lately, so don't be shocked if I bust out with an actual scrapbook layout soon! Just sayin!

I hope you liked today's project and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Carol

Hello Friends! It's Mix it up Monday!  In this series I'll be using products from various companies to hopefully come up with a cohesive card design. Today's card is all about Teachers because I love teachers and it's Teacher Appreciation Week! I used products from four different companies for this sweet card.

I started with that great background image to mimic notepaper and then I just started stamping those cute crayons. This set from Sunny Studios is amazing because it's a layering stamp set and it really makes the crayons come alive! To get the crayons and hearts lined up I used a great set from Altenew that has tiny little tick marks in a circle so you know exactly where to line up your images. Good stuff! Then I ended with a sentiment from Papertrey Ink. I totally love this card!

Below you will find links to all the goodies!

Notepaper Background - Taylored Expressions
Color My World - Sunny Studios
Mandala Maker - Altenew
Great Teachers - Papertrey Ink

I hope you enjoyed today's card and if you have school aged children, show their teachers some love! This has been quite the year! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Carol
