Mix it Up Monday's

Hello Friends! I'm popping in today to share a new series that I'm calling Mix it Up Monday's. In this series I'll be using products from various companies to come up with cohesive card designs. I know that many stamp companies release everything you need to use for a certain theme or image, but sometimes it may be a little over our crafty budget. So, I love searching my crafty stash to help bring in the old with the new. Sometimes these posts will use a lot of different products, sometimes, not so much it totally depends on where the design takes me. But, I hope you'll find these posts to be helpful so you will be inspired to shop your stash as well.

Today, my main stamp image comes from Pink Fresh Studios and it's called Modern Layered Floral. It is absolutely beautiful!! I paired it with a stitched die from Avery Elle called Scalloped Mat and a thanks sentiment from one of my favorite stamp sets of all time, Sketched Flowers. I also used some inks from Gina K Designs and Pink Fresh Studio (wild dandelion, sweet corn, grass green and fresh pear).

My hubby asked me to make some thank you cards for his co-workers so I mass produced about 7 of these cards along with a sympathy card I unfortunately needed for a co-worker who recently lost her mom. This card is heavy on die cuts, but super easy to assemble. Once you have everything cut out, I needed 4 inks (2 yellow and 2 green) for 2-step stamping on the floral image, I added a little white gel pen for some added interest to the centers of the small flowers. I stamped the "thanks" sentiment with VersaMark ink, heat embossed and fussy cut it out. For the Sympathy card I used a sentiment from the Clean Line Everyday sentiment stamp set from Simon Says Stamp/CZ Design. I absolutely love how these turned out!

Oh, I can't forget to mention that I chose this color combo because it's the new Pantone color for 2021 - Illuminating (yellow) and Ultimate Gray. Love it!!!
