Hello Friends! Happy Mix it up Monday! I hope your weekend was amazing! Mine was low key and quiet, just the way I like it. We enjoyed the football games yesterday and are excited for the Super Bowl in a couple of weeks!
Today, I have some cards to share that I made for my brother-in-law. He's a realtor in Miami and he loves giving handmade cards to his clients. He's won Realtor of the Year two years in a row and he tells me it's because of my cards! LOL! He asked me to make 50 thank you cards, so I went right to work! Since I was making so many, I thought less would be more and stuck with a simple yet elegant design.
Simple Stories - Domestic Bliss patterned paper
Echo Park - Coffee and Friends patterned paper
American Crafts - Warm & Cozy patterned paper
Taylored Expressions - Garden Party embossing folder
Concord & 9th - Floral Print Silhouette dies
Hero Arts - Infinity Circle Dies
Simon Says Stamp - So Loved - no longer available - SORRY!
For these cards I used a great time-saving trick from my friend, Jennifer McGuire. I used a circle die around that sweet little house in order to die cut a positive and negative at the same time. So, instead of running this through my die cut machine 50 times, I only had to do it 25 times - thanks Jennifer! 😀
After the card fronts were embossed, all I had to do was adhere my die cut pieces and add a sentiment. I decided not to add embellishments in order to keep the mass producing to a minimum and I must say, I'm happy with the result.
I hope today's Mix it up Monday challenges you to create with products from various companies! Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Carol
