Brotherly Thanks

March 21, 2021

Hello Friends! Welcome back! As I mentioned in a previous post, my hubby recently retired from law enforcement and we had a wonderful celebration for him last week. There were so many people that got up and spoke about how he touched their lives both personally and professionally. It was such a beautiful day. Well, now my hubby has asked me to make some Thank You cards and of course I couldn't wait to do so. This card is for his Police Chief.

I typically have a hard time making masculine cards but I knew right away that I wanted to use the United as One stamp set from Hero Arts. It just reminds me of two brothers greeting one another and my hubby and the Chief are very good friends so I knew this set would be perfect! I did a little ink blending with distress oxide inks onto a circle masking stencil then I added a little water to give it some texture. I also added some ink splatters onto the circle behind the image and the sentiment is from the Seamless Starburst stamp set from Pink Fresh Studio. I really like how this card turned out. Let me know what you like about it.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope the rest of your weekend is great!

Hugs,
Carol
