Hello Friends! Today I am sharing a sweet birthday card. This card was 100% inspired by the awesome Cathy Zielske, @czdesign on Instagram. If you don't currently follow her, stop reading and go straight to Instagram Right Now! She's amazing! Well, I recently watched one of her YouTube videos and she water colored an image using only two colors of distress inks. I don't know about you but water coloring intimidates me SO much! When I saw what she did with only two inks, I knew I had to try it.
So, instead of using distress inks, I used Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I only used two, brown and purple. For the background, I did some ink blending with Kitsch Flamingo and Speckled Egg distress oxide inks. I also used the Simple Patterns stencil from Simon Says Stamp and to finish off the card, I pulled out the Master Layouts 4 die set from Gina K to cut that sweet scalloped square. This card came together so quickly and it's just so sweet. Oh, I almost forgot the stamp set! That sweet bunny is from Colorado Craft Company, it's called Birthday Wishing. It's a great set!
